MEMBERSHIP of the BELMONT SHORE BUSINESS ASSOCIATION (BSBA)

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP

Any person is qualified for regular membership if they meet the following qualifications: Owns, operates, or manages a business or profession that is within the geographical area limited to the Belmont Shore Business District.

A special assessment is billed to merchants and property owners within the association boundaries. The City of Long Beach collects the membership assessment automatically when you open or renew your business license. The funds are then sent back out to the association.

The boundaries are along East Second Street from Livingston to Bayshore, and also includes the side streets from our North Alley to our South Alley.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Any person is qualified for regular membership if they meet the following qualifications: Owns, operates, or manages a business or profession that is within the geographical area bounded by the Pacific Ocean, Alamitos Avenue, Pacific Coast Highway, and the San Gabriel River. Only one Associate Member at a time is eligible to serve on the Board of Directors and shall have voting privileges.

In consideration of an Associate Member who has paid their yearly assessment of $150, the BSBA will provide: inclusion in our marketing efforts, networking opportunities, attendance at meetings, participation on committees, and the availability to offer services under the policies set by the Board of Directors.

AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP

Any person is qualified for regular membership if they meet the following qualifications: Owns, operates, or manages a business or profession that is within the geographical area bounded by Los Angeles County or Orange County. Membership shall be limited to retailers, institutional business firms, professional firms, restaurants, and food service businesses.

In consideration of an Affiliate Member who has paid their yearly assessment of $100, the BSBA will provide: eligibility to attend meetings, however an Affiliate Member shall not serve on the Board of Directors, shall not have voting privileges, and shall not be able to chair a committee.
