2nd Street Scene Art Exhibit
A Street-Wide Art Exhibit Celebrating Belmont Shore
In celebration of Arts Month in Long Beach, the Belmont Shore Business Association presents 2nd Street Scene, a public art exhibit that turns a stroll down 2nd Street into an outdoor gallery.
From September 9 through October 17, artwork by local artists will be displayed on the sides of Big Belly trash and recycling cans throughout the Belmont Shore business district. Each piece was inspired by Belmont Shore—its streets, businesses, beach, bay, people, history and everyday character.

There’s no gallery map or designated route needed. Walk 2nd Street, explore the exhibit and keep an eye out for artwork along the way.
When you find a piece you love, scan the QR code displayed with the artwork to cast your vote. You can also use the artist QR code to learn more about the person behind the piece and explore their portfolio.
You may vote for as many different pieces as you like, but you may only vote once for each individual piece. So don't stop after your first favorite—keep exploring 2nd Street and vote for all the artwork that catches your eye!
Public voting is open September 9 through 8 AM on October 17. The artists receiving the most public votes will win cash and prizes worth up to $500, sponsored in part by local Belmont Shore businesses.
Closing Reception — October 17
Join us for the 2nd Street Scene Closing Reception on Saturday, October 17 from 6–8 PM. Meet the artists, see the artwork gathered together in one place, and celebrate the winners of the inaugural 2nd Street Scene.
